The Redland Scottish & Celtic Society Inc was formed on 10 September 1996. A public meeting chaired by the late Mayor Eddie Santagiuliana saw the inception and consequent incorporation of the new Redland Scottish & Celtic Society. Membership presently stands at some 180 individuals.

Aims:
- Promote and encourage Scottish and Celtic Heritage;
- Maintain a Pipe Band in Redland Shire;
- Educate and train members in Scottish and Celtic traditions, culture and music;
- To conduct activities which demonstrate Scottish & Celtic culture, beliefs and values
- Promote the awareness of Scottish & Celtic participation in Redland Shire generally;
- Foster Scottish family traditions & activities in particular those which involve the family unit.

The Society’s Entertainment Group includes Solo Pipers, Irish Pipes, a variety of Small Pipes, Bodhran, Singers, Poetry, a bevy of very talented Highland Dancers and a Full Pipe Band. Young people form the nucleus of this assembly and perform with their peers for community events and at our own Ceilidhs & functions.
