The Redland Scottish & Celtic Society Inc, proudly supported by the Redland City Council will stage the 2010

on Sunday 1 August
at Redlands Multi Sports Club, Judy Holt Park, Randall Road, Birkdale
with entertainment commencing at 10.30 am.

Saturday 31 July will be kept exclusively for the Solo Piping & Drumming Competition.
Trophy presentations by Redland City Mayor, Melva E Hobson, will take place at close of competition.
Sunday Admission is $5 with children 12 and under free.
This year's event will feature:
- The South Queensland Pipe Band Championships and Solo Competition proudly sponsored by Redland City Council
- The Bay Island Titles Highland Dancing Competition with premiere dancers gathering from near and far.
- The Drum Majors Championship which is always a crowd pleaser.
- Massed bands display that will stir your blood.
- Highland Games including Foot Races for all ages, Caber Toss, Hammer Throw and Haggis Hurl.
- The Address to the Haggis by Allan Kingston will occur in a ceremony that combines drama, humour and spectacle.
- Performances by Gaelic Dream and the Knights Order of Lion Rampant.
- The Redland City Town Crier will be on hand to keep everyone informed.
- Scottish stalls will showcase kilts, accessories, regalia, craft and more. Patrons can trace their tartan, explore their genealogy or learn about Scottish history & folklore.
- The Galloway Lowline Cattle
- A variety of food and beverage will be available throughout the day including sausage sizzle, Scottish Pies, sandwiches, snacks, drinks and icecreams in the grounds, and haggis, hot chips and counter meals from the Multi-Sports Club.

The Redland Scottish & Celtic Society is a not-for-profit community organisation whose aim is to showcase the culture, traditions, music and dance of Scottish and Celtic heritage, and the committee hopes that patrons from near and wide will attend to enjoy the day.
